I resolve to love myself.
Draw some boundaries
to guard health, hope, and peace.
Clear more open space.
Make coveted memories.
I resolve to love others.
Offer the gift of attention
to behold their words and actions.
Bandage worn, distracted souls.
Present calmness and connection.
I resolve to love God.
Place Him above all competing tasks,
divulge my heart as a thankful soul unmasked,
listen carefully, and then
share his joy along a troubled world’s path.
I resolve to love myself, others, and God.
Simplifying life by the means of these filters
draws me ever closer to the heart of my Builder.
Through God’s crafted bounty of grace,
I’ll run courageous and give him all the praise.
