He is risen–
After darkness had its say,
on the third day the tomb’s stone door
rolled away.
Again Jesus walked, talked, touched, and ate.
In awe, witnesses testified,
“Death is not his fate!”
He is risen–
The once scared, fleeing disciple crew
turned around realizing
the prophecies were true.
With a faith immensely greater than fear,
they sacrificed it all to
make the Good News clear.
He is risen–
Jesus bore the world’s sin upon the cross,
sacrificing himself so no one would be lost.
His work was sufficient,
but a response is required;
by grace we are saved
when our belief transpires.
He is risen–
Faith sends an invite to start anew.
Give Christ your burdens and notions untrue.
Accept his forgiveness and salvation at the end.
Love the transformation the Holy Spirit extends.
He is risen indeed!
When Jesus rose, a new creation began
for all who believe and trust in God’s plans.
Through his power, our darkness is rolled away–
“Jesus is the light,” his resurrection proclaims!

Inspiring Scriptures:
The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.”
Matthew 28:5-6
With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all…

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9
For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin–
Romans 6:6
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
2 Corinthians 5:17
But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.
Acts 26:22-23
